Moto X now available on Flipkart

After the overwhelming response for the budget smartphone Moto G, The most awaited android phone Moto X from Motorola has been launched officially in India. Yes, It runs on the world's most powerful mobile platform: Android. It has been launched in India by the national online business leader : Flipkart. Flipkart has officially made a contract with the Motorola for launching Moto G and Moto X in India.

moto x

Pricing?

The pricing has been efficiently done so that it gives a tough competition to other smartphones in the same range from other giants like Apple, Samsung, Nokia and LG. This phone (MOTO X) costs Rs. 23999 for White , Black, Royal Blue , Turquoise and Red colored back polycarbonate plastic finish and Rs. 25999 for Teak and Walnut wood back finishings.

What's Hot?

The phone arrived in 2 days from flipkart and here is the picture of the blue version which I had ordered.
MotoX

The most interesting feature is it's touchless control. All you need to say is "Okay, Google Now" followed by what you want you phone to do. One more cool feature is it's Active Display, which shows all notifications at a single place.
The phone is very handy and also awesome in looks. Talking about the specifications, the phone has got a 10MP rear camera with a 2MP front camera. It has 2GB of RAM in it with 2,200 mAh battery, 2G, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and micro-USB 2.0 support. Also, Flipkart is offering free 50GB free space on Google Drive.

moto x

What's not?

Unlike Moto G (which had it's 8GB and 16GB variant), Moto X has been launched only in it's 16GB variant in India.  Unfortunately, features like the ONLINE STUDIO MOTO MAKER will not be available for customers in India (A feature that allows users to customise their Moto X devices with over 2,000 possible combinations). Also, It is a single SIM phone, unlike MotoG which was Dual SIM.

The bottom line : BUY THIS PHONE, It's worth it. :)

For some sneak peeks, The Motorola has confirmed the launching of the successor of MotoX which will be launched as MOTO X+1 in the market soon. Agencies say that it will have a back leather cover and will be launched in August this year.

ANDROID VS IOS

ANDROID VS IOS
Who wins the race?

THE RACE!!
The race between GOOGLE and APPLE is competitive enough and a learning for all those struggles in life over the world. The god of internet GOOGLE has launched its OS – ANDROID which has hit the market and pushed IOS back to very extent. No wonder APPLE is the brand name and you can blindly trust the APPLE products. But off course the brand followers are the rich ones who have the money at their finger tips. Considering the fact that the ratio of the rich to average people are 1: 4 Google the master mind did its job silently and grabbed the market.

android vs apple

* In just 2 years ANDROID store has 350k APPS.
* Hundreds of devices and still more are opting ANDROID as it is not more expensive than those 200k devices used for the same purpose.
* The VOICE RECOGNITION pattern in IOS devices is natural voice encryption but ANDROID has command encryption voice recognition.
* The ICLOUD feature in IOS is remarkably excellent. You have to use equivalent third party software/app for the purpose- (DROPBOX is trying its best to make the same available)
* Google search is limited for ANDROID users. Other search engines like bing, yahoo are not available to them (not at all a big issue).
* ANDROID APP store is vast but not as vast as the APPLE store. Here APPLE wins the race. But in no time Google will take over here also.

So what’s the count folks??

HOW MANY OF YOU HAVE NOT HEARD ANGRY BIRDS?

No doubt the best entertaining source has made remarkable number of users and fans around the world. Its origin also came from ANDROID (huh! +1 for android here too)
IOS has gained reputation from IPHONE 4S which encouraged the people and their demands- for the same reason IPHONE 5 is most awaited after STEVE JOBS death. The pre-booked count for I phone 5 is enormous. Thus the race can be referred as the race between the two most renowned personalities LARRY PAGE and STEVE JOBS.  Moreover IOS has to provide $4.5Google revenue.

You can make your job easier by the voice recognition service. You offer them to call your friend by their name and the job is done. The natural voice recognition is provided by IOS devices not by ANDROID devices (+1 for APPLE)
you can set your alarm, save your files, set the password in just no time – that’s the power of voice control system. Also the Google app inventor helps you to write your own apps which is much convenient. This is not available for other OS.
The developers however prefer to make IOS apps as they have already been stabilized in the market ad will be much difficult for them to switch over. So the new developers have their chances to prove them. The competition is on its rise. According to the developers the ANDROID apps are less complicated and have improved features which take nerves to do so in IOS.
So now the task is yours to decide which is better?

How You Can Sell Your Phone for Cash

sell phone for cash

It seems like everybody with a cell phone has at least five or six old ones laying around. They collect dust in drawers, sit in glove compartments, and lay around the bottom of bags and purses. Most people's old phones don't go unused because they don't work- they're just no longer up-to-date. This doesn't have to happen to you, though. With a little bit of effort, you can sell your phone for cash, and cut down on old phone clutter in your home.

Cell phone companies upgrade their selections constantly. This is great, if you're the kind of person who likes having access to all of the latest and greatest gadgets, but is less great if your old phone breaks, and you don't like the selection of newer generation models. A lot of people fall into this latter category. If you have an old cell phone to get rid of, you can sell your phone for cash, and help these people out at the same time.

Part of the problem with phone companies is that they sell people on the idea that their old phones aren't any good, and aren't worth anything. This is absolutely not true, and you shouldn't let that keep you from trying to sell your phone for cash. As long as it's clean, in decent external condition, and in working order, your old phone has value to someone. If someone out there is willing to buy your old phone, why shouldn't you sell it to them instead of letting it sit around and become outdated?

It's easy to sell your phone for cash, too. Unlike newspaper classifieds, which cost money, don't give you much visibility, don't target your ads to a specific audience, and charge a lot of money if you want to include a photo of the phone you're selling, the internet gives you the chance to get rid of your old, unwanted phone in a way that's as effective as it is simple. There are a growing number of websites out there that let you turn old phones into money, and all you need to so is come up with a concise description of what you're selling, take some good, well-lit photos that accurately show your phone's external condition, and be ready to ship it out to the buyer as soon as you sell your phone.

Unlike taking ads out in other areas, using a site that helps you sell your phone for cash is cheap- in many cases, it doesn't cost any money upfront. Some sites just charge you a small fee after you find a buyer for your phone, or take a percentage of the sale price in order to cover what they pay in bandwidth and money transfer fees. You get cash money transferred to your account, you get rid of your old phone, and your buyer gets the phone they want. Everybody wins!

Even if you find out that you can't sell your phone for cash like you'd hoped, don't give up! Many of the same sites that let you list your old phones for sale also allow you to send your phone in for recycling, or to be donated to a charitable institution. Many people don't realize that, while using cell phones is completely safe, many of them contain materials that need to be disposed of as hazardous materials, especially batteries and certain screens. Therefore, simply throwing your old phone away if you can't sell your phone for cash isn't just wasteful, it's a bad idea. If you can't find someone to use it as-is, recycling your phone will ensure that none of the hazardous components end up in a landfill, where they don't belong.

If you're sitting on some old or discontinued phones, you're sitting on a potential gold mine. Why wait for your phone company to discount their latest and greatest phone, when you could get money to put towards it by selling your old ones? When you sell your phone for cash, you help yourself, your buyer, and the environment by keeping a perfectly good old phone from going to waste. Don't wait- turn your unwanted junk into cash today.

BlueStacks - Play all the android apps on your Windows PC

BLUESTACKs

Feel the android flavor right on your computer. Recently, Silicon Valley-based Company called "BlueStacks" recently released an application for playing android apps on Computer which they call as "app player". It is a PC program (.exe file) that enables users to download Android apps & games directly or transfer them from your Android phone to PC.

You need to do NOTHING to android app to make it work in BlueStacks – the app will run as is.
I myself am using this software & trust me; this will make your day! Play all your favourite games on your PC. I’m thinking of making my PC as my phone! Well that’s a future idea for all mobile brands.

Cost?
Nothing. They say they want to build the best possible product for their users for free.

Also, if you use apps which are designed for a tablet, you’ll get the same kind of app functionality on the PC. Now that sounds cool as well.

BlueStacks actually gives the Android crowd, device functionality on PC and puts the Android a step ahead of crowds of Windows & of Apple. Apple understands this trend and will soon merge the two app development platforms into a single one. Eventually, most, if not all, of its iOS apps will look and work the same on the iPhone, iPad and MacBook.
As for Microsoft, I'm uncertain if it even understands this concept.
For your knowledge, there are 200,000 plus Android apps already, it may not matter, since BlueStacks makes all of those work out of the box today.
So, if you have an Android phone or tablet and a Windows PC, check out BlueStacks.
In doing so, you just might get a glimpse of what the future of cross device apps will look like and how this could be a blueprint for the future of personal computing.
Such a nice & creative idea from Bluestack to make your Windows PC, a platform of Android.
As we say, Use IDM for downloading, here’s the download link for BLUESTACKS!

Instagram for Android? Yes, Please.

iPhone users have been enjoying the fun and functionality of Instagram for a while now, and Android users are about to see what all the hype is about. After months and months of waiting, Instagram became available for Android users on April 3, 2012.

What is Instagram?

Instagram is an application that allows for photo editing and photo sharing. Users can add filters to the pictures they take, making them look older or more vintage than the actual true image. Users can also share these images with other Instagram users, and like other social networking sites, users can post comments or "like" someone else's photos.
Though there are other photo editing and photo sharing apps available, Instagram is one of the most coveted. Instagram is a great app for people who enjoy taking pictures and playing around with different looks and styles through editing software. Many aspiring photographers use Instagram as a virtual portfolio, using the app as a way to showcase their artwork.
Instagram for Android

Instagram has been one of the most popular apps purchased from Apple's app store for a very long time, and many Android users wanted it for their devices. Instagram was recently made available to Android users on the Google Play store, and users downloaded the app like it was going out of style. Instagram is available on Android smartphones that run 2.2 software and up. Currently, it will not run on any Android tablets.
With Instagram for Android, users can alter their photos the same way that Apple users can, and they can still view the images from others, but it doesn't contain all the functionalities that the Apple version does.
Google and Instagram wanted to launch the product quickly, so they held back a few key features, such as the sharing capabilities through email, Flickr and Posterous, as well as Blur and Tilt/Shift features. Some other complaints have been that the in-app camera doesn't work very well, and users have to use the stock Android camera instead. This is a problem because the stock Android camera does not produce images in the same format that is required to use the Instagram app.
Instagram plans on making updates to its software in the near future to take care of the issues that users are having as well as implement the features that are currently missing. Reps for Instagram have said that their goal is to make the user interface the same between both Android and iOS devices, and that users should never be able to tell the difference between the two.
Though Instagram for Android may be lacking a few functionalities and may have a few tweaks that need to be addressed, most of the customer reviews found on Google Play are positive. Android users are happy to now have the photo editing tool that was once only available on Apple devices, and users are also excited to join the thousands of individuals already using the app and see the millions of images currently available.
Ashley Cole is a stay at home mother and frequent Instagram user who loves to write for blogs in her down time. She rarely writes without the help of a grammar checker and often uses the software to spot mistakes and problems she didn't even know were in her text. She is currently masterminding a kitchen remodeling project and wants a more transitional kitchen design.

How to Increase battery life of your android phone

The Android phones are probably the most popular electronic devices in the year 2011. Although Android provides nice facilities and entertainment, there are some facts that you need to consider about your android phone. Here are some tips that will help you about the battery life of your android phone. You can get rid of the battery problems by following some simple instructions shown here.
Adjusting the screen
The brighter screen eats more battery. Keep the brightness of your screen at normal level. You can adjust the brightness settings of your device in the Settings > Display > Brightness. Here you will see the check-box for automatic brightness. Just un-check it and apply custom settings for the brightness settings. Set the brightness to normal level so it stops draining more power from your battery.
You can also use the android’s built-in battery screen for reducing the battery usage of your android. Go to Settings > about phone > Battery use. Here you can see the amount of battery used by applications percentage wise. You see, nobody uses all the applications at the same time; all you do is minimizing your apps. So you can smartly choose which apps to use and which one to not.
Turn off wireless services when not in use
The background services for wireless communication are also battery eater. They just have a little work to do but eat lots of battery power. You should close the Bluetooth and WiFi services when there is no use of them. Some people forget to turn the Bluetooth or WiFi off and suffer from the less battery backup time.
Although GPS is good for you to get into anywhere, you don’t use it 24 hours a day, but you keep its background service on. This discharges your battery and reduces your android’s battery life. Turning off GPS and other wireless services would make an effective rise in your android phone’s battery life.
Reducing RSS updates
People usually subscribe to each website’s feeds they take interest in, but never read them all. Do not let your applications to update their feeds automatically. This is because they may use more battery from your android. Some applications need your approval before updating their feeds, and some not. Set the manual mode for update of RSS feeds for the applications.
Use Up-to-date Applications
Keep the latest versions of all applications in your phone. You can also automatically update your applications. Applications developers focus on battery life reduction when developing new versions of their applications. So you should take benefit of latest versions with less battery consumption.
After knowing these tips and tricks, you are now aware of improvement of your android’s battery life. Hope these tips will helpful to you.

Micromax's new tablet-Funbook

As we know Mircomax introduced an affordable latest tablet on Tuesday, a 7-inch touch screen with latest Android ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich) based tablet in just Rs. 6499/-.The most awaited tablet from Micromax mobile company has paved its way to serve our country. Micromax has also jumped into Tablet market after introducing its very first tablet called MICROMAX FUNBOOK.This is a very cool device for students and we can call it future of education.

This tablet is targeted towards youth (especially k-12 students), because this device is specially designed for students. Micromax is giving a strong competition to other companies by its new tablet. There are also more tablets in the market recently launched HCL. There are also giant brands like iball, hp, spice and many other companies in the tablet market but Mircromax funbook gives competition from its very latest features and configuration. Micromax’s funbook includes installed apps which can use as study material as well you can access video & audio in many different formats.

Latest ICS (Android Ice Cream Sandwich) doesn’t need the front buttons and this makes a tablet cool and attractive but Micromax's device was not originally intended to run on Android 4.0 and the software upgrade was thought of later taking note of the interest in the latest version of Google's mobile operating system. Sometimes it is a bit awkward to find two sets of buttons, one on the screen and other on the body to perform exactly the same functions. But the advantage of having the hard buttons is that they are easier to access than their tiny on-screen buttons. But Micromax should have given adding touch buttons a thought, which could have been an added feature for the customer to buy it.

You can use Wi-Fi and USB dongle to surf the net. The 2800 mAh battery gives, according to Micromax, a browsing time of about 5 hours. I had been using the device intermittently (on WiFi) for this review and it ran out of battery in a little more than 4 hours. There are lots of apps already installed. 1000 movies installed by micromax.

Here you can have a look at the specifications of this device
1.22GHz Cortex A8 Processor- Quite good
Dual Mali - 400 2D/3 GPU - Okay
Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich- Great
Display: (7-inch) capacitive- Good
Camera: 0.3 Fronts VGA- Okay for video calling
Memory: 4GB internal; Expandable 32GB micro SD - Satisfactory
512MB RAM- Okay
Media support: 1080p video; MPEG2/4, AVI, WMV, MOV (also supports MKV, FLV, MP3)- Good
Sensors: Gravity, accelerometer- Satisfactory
Battery: 2800mAh; 5 hours of browsing time-Okay
Connectivity: 3G dongle support via USB; HDMI out; Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g; USB 2.0- Good

Colors available for this device
This device is available in two colors:
  •        Suave Silver, and
  •     Brilliant Black.

Why to buy?
The plus points for this tablet are:
  •       Price: - pricing is so affordable for any one it just 6499/- INR
  •      Views: - it is stylish and attractive
  •      Weight: - its light weight and slip tablet
  •      Power: - you can browse 5hr.

Why not to buy?
The minus points for funbook are:
  • Charger: - There is no specific standard charger for charging the tablet and its seem very odd.
  • It’s hard to carry some looking chains equipment for charging the tablet.
  • Usb port: - there is no micro usb port for using and its essential requirement of any tablet
  • Battery life
  • Music:- music is also not so good in heads-free and speakers

The Funbook will be made available through 100,000 retail outlets across 50 cities in India.

Gmail Tap-Is it April Fool?

We hope it's not APRIL FOOL surprise for us! Whatever we love the concept!

Google has introduced it's new revolutionary keyboard for mobile devices. The QWERTY keyboard was invented in 1874 and yet it is still used today, largely unchanged. They have introduced a new input method designed for the future: Gmail Tap for Android and iOS.

What can be done with Gmail tap?

Gmail Tap takes the keyboard from 26 keys to just two. Every letter of the alphabet is represented by a simple pattern of dots and dashes, and once you know them you can type without even looking at your screen. This makes it ideal for situations where you need to discreetly send emails, such as when you're on a date or in a meeting with your boss.

This is the new interface of the technology Google has devised.

See the video below to know more about this technology direct from the Google experts.

We know this technology cannot be created (whatever!), so we conclude it to be APRIL FOOL by Google!
