Micromax's new tablet-Funbook

As we know Mircomax introduced an affordable latest tablet on Tuesday, a 7-inch touch screen with latest Android ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich) based tablet in just Rs. 6499/-.The most awaited tablet from Micromax mobile company has paved its way to serve our country. Micromax has also jumped into Tablet market after introducing its very first tablet called MICROMAX FUNBOOK.This is a very cool device for students and we can call it future of education.

This tablet is targeted towards youth (especially k-12 students), because this device is specially designed for students. Micromax is giving a strong competition to other companies by its new tablet. There are also more tablets in the market recently launched HCL. There are also giant brands like iball, hp, spice and many other companies in the tablet market but Mircromax funbook gives competition from its very latest features and configuration. Micromax’s funbook includes installed apps which can use as study material as well you can access video & audio in many different formats.

Latest ICS (Android Ice Cream Sandwich) doesn’t need the front buttons and this makes a tablet cool and attractive but Micromax's device was not originally intended to run on Android 4.0 and the software upgrade was thought of later taking note of the interest in the latest version of Google's mobile operating system. Sometimes it is a bit awkward to find two sets of buttons, one on the screen and other on the body to perform exactly the same functions. But the advantage of having the hard buttons is that they are easier to access than their tiny on-screen buttons. But Micromax should have given adding touch buttons a thought, which could have been an added feature for the customer to buy it.

You can use Wi-Fi and USB dongle to surf the net. The 2800 mAh battery gives, according to Micromax, a browsing time of about 5 hours. I had been using the device intermittently (on WiFi) for this review and it ran out of battery in a little more than 4 hours. There are lots of apps already installed. 1000 movies installed by micromax.
